  2.          1 cup sour cream
  3.          1 cup mayo
  4.           tea spoon garlic paste
  5.           tea spoon black pepper

How to prepare

First of all, chop up all the ingredients for the salad as well as for the dressing. This would take up the maximum time even before you start with the actual preparation.
Prepare the salad dressing beforehand. To prepare the dressing simply blend all the ingredients in the blender until the consistency is creamy. The amount of ingredients mentioned will be yielding dressing which is approximately equivalent to two coffee mugs. One can easily store the dressing for a week at most. For this particular salad refrigerate the dressing beforehand.
Heat about a cup of water with a pinch of salt in it. Add the chick peas which have been soaked overnight into this boiling water and let it boil for about 5-7 minutes. Your boiled chick peas would be ready. Let the chick peas cool before you add it to the salad.
In a large bowl, put the sprouts and toss them with lemon juice, the jest of the lemon, salt and pepper to taste. Do keep in mind that the dressing already has a certain amount of pepper in it. So when you add pepper to the salad ingredient, regulate the amount accordingly.
Top the ingredients with the dressing that you have kept in the refrigerator and mix it up completely. Put the entire salad in the refrigerator. You would need approximately half of the dressing that you have made. However if you like your salad creamier than usual you can also increase the amount of the dressing that you are using in it.
Before you serve the salad, add the tortilla chips which are crushed and crumbled from above as a garnish to the salad. The salad tastes good when it is served cold.
You can also add other sprouts as per your liking to the salad. The salad can also be tweaked with grilled cottage cheese or chicken chunks as per your taste.

To make sure that the nutrition and the food value of the salad is retained do not store it for too long and try and have it on the same day you have prepared it.
