Mixed Fruit and Vegetable Salad


The vegetable and fruit salad is a perfect balanced diet for health conscious people. The recipe can be tweaked as per your liking. The nutritional value of the salad is significantly high. Now you can enjoy tasty yet healthy salad at your home instantly.
Serves 4
Preparation time- 20 minutes
Ingredients:
         Apples- 2 apples sliced thinly
         Peaches- 1 peach sliced thinly
         Tomatoes- 1 chopped in small pieces
         Romaine lettuce- 8-9 leaves thoroughly cleaned
         Black grapes- 10-15 chopped into halves
         Lemon juice- 1 table spoon
         Apple cedar vinegar- 1 table spoon
         Salt and sugar and pepper as per your taste
Direction for preparation
Add all the chopped fruits from your ingredients list in a large shallow dish and sprinkle the apple cedar vinegar from the top. The lemon juice should be topped after this and mix well. Sprinkle the salt, pepper and sugar over the fruits and vegetables such that it is evenly coated with them. Refrigerate the entire dish and serve cold. The apple cedar vinegar should be allowed to be absorbed by the dish thoroughly. The fruits should be fresh and cut right before the preparation. This is a salad that is perfect for mid-day meals.

One can tweak the recipes by adding other spices to it as well. Vegetables like carrots and shallots can be added to this salad for enhancing the dish further. The apple cedar vinegar can also be replaced with olive oil or vinaigrette as well. The entire preparation is very healthy and suitable for those who love fruit and are particularly health conscious.
