Preparation time
Preparation time for this soup is 10 minutes and cooking time is 30 minutes. A soup can be had either steaming hot or cold. You can choose between an assortment of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian soups. Broccoli cheese soup remains to be one of the most healthiest soups with broccoli as a healthy vegetable and cheese as one of the best tasting favorites of many.

Ingredients
- � � cup butter
- � I chopped onion
- � I frozen broccoli
- � I loaf cube cheese
- � 2 cups milk
- � 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- � 2/3 cup cornstarch
- � 1 cup water
- � Chicken broth- 1 cup
How to prepare
Melt butter over medium heat and cook the onion in butter until it softens. Stir the broccoli well and add the chicken broth to the mixture. Simmer till the broccoli becomes soft however try and keep it minimum soft. Stir the cheese cubes until melted and then mix in the milk and the garlic powder so that it mixes well. Stir cornstarch in a small bowl and keep stirring till it does not form lumps. After the soup is almost done, add cornstarch to thicken the broth. Ensure that the amount of corn starch is not too much as it will thicken the broth more than deserved. Stir the broth for some time till it is smooth and creamy. Your hot bowl of steaming cheese broccoli soup is ready to eat.
Serve steaming hot in bowls after garnishing with herbs and basil leaves.
